Our award-winning co-founders, and many of orchestra members, are highly experienced trainers, project managers and workshop facilitators who have spent years using music as a tool to support vulnerable communities in the UK and internationally. As well as international areas of conflict/post-conflict, in the UK these settings including Prisons, Pupil Referral Units, Forensic Secure Units, Children's Hospitals, Dementia Units and Emergency Accommodation Hotels and Detention Centres.
Our Training
We use our expertise to train experienced musicians with the additional skills, knowledge and confidence needed to deliver music workshops in a way that helps participants to process trauma, rebuild their self-esteem and build positive relationships within challenging environments.
We also provide transformational training and music workshops to established organisations. These workshops focus on deepening an understanding of how music can be used as a tool to transform an organisation's culture and support the mental health and emotional-wellbeing of colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
Our clients include the NHS, a number of Music Education Hubs (UK) and Dell Technologies.
Our outreach workshops
We deliver music workshops in temporary accommodation settings for internationally displaced people (for example Emergency Accommodation Hotels, Detention Centres and Refuges for Victims of Human Trafficking).
Our aim through these workshops is to:

Our diverse music practitioners:

Speak a range of languages including Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, Hindi and Ukrainian

Performances
One World Orchestra is an emerging, not for profit organisation.
Our core orchestra has representation of musicians who have with lived experience of displacement and we also provide opportunities for asylum seekers who currently awaiting the outcome of their asylum claim to play alongside us.
We cover the costs of travel and food for our asylum-seeking members and pay MU rates to our core artists.
Our standard fee for a commercial booking is £5,000 - £10,000.
Other rates for charities and voluntary sector organisations are available on request.
All our performances are bespoke to the event and can include a smaller group of musicians and pre-concert workshops.
